Keynote Lecture: The great challenge in open bite treatment for Adults from both the Biomechanics and treatment planning perspectives

Many adults presenting with an open bite have undergone orthodontic treatment during adolescence. Relapse in these cases is multifactorial—commonly involving myofunctional dysfunctions, tongue posture and habits, unstable occlusion, and at times, an inadequate treatment plan.

This lecture will examine a wide range of open bite cases, from mild to complex, and highlight the critical role of individualized treatment planning and biomechanics. Practical guidelines and a structured workflow will be presented to help clinicians address the challenges of open bite correction and achieve long-term stability.
